Since 1955 Jean Daninos succeeded in producing the ultimate French car, the Facel Vega HK 500 and Facel II models. These were elegant grand touring coupes with a tubular chassis, independent front suspension and a very stylish interior design. During that era, the Facel Vegas were the favorite personal transport of many racing drivers, British legend driver Stirling Moss included. Other famous VIP owners of these French cars were Tony Curtis, Ringo Star, Ana Gardner and François Truffaut. This specific car was acquired by the Museum through auction in Great Britain.
