Morgan 4/4 1600

Morgan is a traditional British company whose basic model has undergone only slight alterations in appearance during the last 65 years. Introduced in March 1968, the ‘1600’ was the first Morgan 4/4 model to offer 160km/h plus top speed. Loyal to the company’s tradition in providing its own conversion parts, the newcomer used a four-cylinder engine derived from Ford’s 1,599cc with cross-flow cylinder head and normal four-speed gearbox for road use while there was another available for racing use. This specific car was acquired by the Museum through auction in Great Britain.
