The jaguar E-Type (UK) or XK-E (US) was a British car built by Jaguar between 1961 and 1974.
The combination of attractive appearance, high performance and competitive price resulted to big success for Jaguar, which sold more than 70,000 E-Type models during the long period of its production.
In March 2008, the Jaguar E-type ranked first in the Daily Telegraph’s list of 100 most beautiful cars ever built. In 2004, Sports Car International magazine placed the E-Type first in the list of Greatest Sports Cars of the 1960s.
This specific car was acquired by the Museum through government auction in Greece (ΟΔΔΥ).
